Darlene P. Spitzack, 91
Darlene P. Spitzack, age 91 of North Morristown, died on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Suite Living Senior Care, Lakeville.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Morristown on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Juan Palm officiating. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown.
Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. and at church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Darlene Phyllis, the daughter of Henry and Olga (Rutz) Wegner, was born August 25, 1932, in Faribault. She married Harlan Spitzack on September 16, 1953, in North Morristown. Darlene and Harlan farmed for many years and she later was employed with the MN State Academy for the Deaf and Camp Omega. Darlene was active at Trinity Lutheran Church as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and ladies aid president. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 149; North Morristown community club and ladies extension club. Darlene enjoyed dancing, attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and sitting on her porch watching the birds and passersby.
She is survived by her children, Curtis Spitzack, Morristown, Julie (Mike) Cook, Lakeville, Glen Spitzack, North Morristown, Jeffrey Spitzack (Diane Anderson), Morristown and Pamela (Scott) Condon, Morristown; grandchildren, Breanna (Tim) Bortner, Brian Cook, Lindsay Condon and Addison Condon; sister-in-law, Thelma Spitzack; brother-in-law, Dave Kolsrud; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlan; brothers, Donald (Ann), Ted (Janice) and twin brother, Delbert (Margie) Wegner; sisters-in-law Marian (Harvey) Gieske, Dorothy (Delbert) Butterfield and Lois Kolsrud; and brothers-in-law Ralph Spitzack and Robert Koring.
