A three-point venture of the Waterville Lions, Waterville Chamber of Commerce, and the Waterville City Council will soon be lighting up the three “Welcome to Waterville” signs, which are located on the north edge of Waterville, at the intersection of Highways 13 and 60, and at the corner of Main Street and State Highway 13.

Following input from the Waterville Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota State Highway Department, the Waterville City Council, MN DNR, MN DOT, and Xcel Energy, along with assistance from Dave Volkmann, the local Lions members agreed to fund the project, which will utilize solar lighting from Midwest LED Sign Company LLC. It is hoped that the lighting will be installed by mid-August and will enhance and promote pride in the area.
