1898 Le Sueur County Plat book draws attention at Show and Tell

The Montgomery Historical Society held a Show and Tell last Wednesday, August 30 at the American Legion Post 79.
Anyone, member or not, was welcome to come and share items and their historical value.
One item in particular was of interest to most, an 1898 plat book of Le Sueur County that Jim Mladek brought. Mladek said, “I don’t know where it came from. It just showed up.” Someone had dropped off and given him the plat book without a note as of who gave it to him.
Older plat books like that are hard to come by and often go for a fairly high dollar amount in the hundreds of dollars. Although...
