Brownlee earns All-Conference honor

Jordyn Brownlee, a Tri-City United High School senior volleyball player has been named to the Minnesota River Conference (MRC) All-Conference Volleyball Team.

Brownlee, the daughter of James and Melissa Brownlee, was an outside hitter and setter for TCU. She was a captain this season, a three-year starter, and MRC Honorable Mention All-Conference for the 2019 season.

According to Coach Haley Fogarty, Jordyn’s athleticism showed this season playing multiple positions, attacking on the right side, outside, and starting as the team’s setter for multiple games. Jordyn led the team with 99 assists, 71 kills, 127 digs, 13 blocks, and 11 aces. She was also one of the team’s leading passers, providing consistent ball control, according to her coach.

Sam Lang was an outside hitter for TCU during the 2020 season. Lang was named Honorable Mention All-Conference by the MRC.

MRC volleyball coaches named Estelle Haugen of Southwest Christian High School as 2020 Most Valuable Player. Volleyball Coach of the Year as named by conference coaches went to Joelle Grimsley of Mayer Lutheran.
