Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt is April 10
The community Easter Egg Hunt will happen again this year.
Due to ramifications of COVID- 19, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has again approved an alternative community event for Montgomery. The Easter Goodie Bag Drive-Thru will be held on Saturday, April 10 from 12 to 3 p.m. in the drive-thru of CornerStone State Bank, one of the organizers of the event.
To get approval during the coronavirus pandemic, branch president Connie White Tupy had conversations with Le Sueur County Public Health and MDH.
“MDH is very excited about the plan. They said it was a great idea, because it gives kids something to look forward to,” said Tupy.
Like drive-thru restaurants, all parents need to do is bring their vehicle through the bank’s drive-thru. Participants will not leave their cars to receive the free “Easter Goodie Bags.”
While this year’s event is again different due to COVID-19, Tupy is excited to work with the American Legion Post 79 directing traffic, and Auxiliary Unit 79 to provide it for the community.
