The eggs-citement at this year’s annual Egg Hunt was about more than racing for an egg.

It was about what prizes were inside of the eggs.

“There was money in the eggs, coupons for stuffed animals, candy,” said Connie White Tupy, who has spearheaded the local community egg hunt for the last seven years.

Six-year-old Jaelyn Hanson was one of more than 500 children and adults at this year’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at the American Legion Club Post #79 on Sunday, March 24. Her favorite part was seeing what was inside the eggs. She was able to pick out one of the 225 prizes stacked and displayed on the bar at the Legion Club.

Hanson searched and searched for just what she wanted before choosing a plush, stuffed yellow duck.

The eggs-citement was also about games, lunch and spending time with family.
