TCU schools to close March 16 - March 27

In response to the Governor’s action to close Minnesota schools due to COVID-19 by Wednesday, TCU Schools will begin their closure starting Monday, March 16.

According to TCU Superintendent Teri Preisler, Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17 will be Blended Learning Days like is done for weather-related school closings.

“Teachers will communicate learning activities for students and families by 10 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday,” Preisler said in a recorded phone call to parents and guardians. “Kid Zone and WRAP child-care services will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on those two days - ONLY for those already registered.”

She added that Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, March 27 will be educator planning time and there would NOT be instruction taking place or blended learning during that time period.

Parents are also to watch for a digital survey through JMC email for information for parents regarding the needs for childcare if parents are a medical or emergency personnel and the needs for school lunches.
