Titans finish in second place at Belle Plaine track meet

The TCU boys’ and girls’ track and field teams finished in second place at the Belle Plaine meet on April 20. Host Belle Plaine took first for boys and girls.

Among the highlights, the boys took first place in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 9:58. The team was made up of Aven Prigge, Aidan McNamara, Chase Goecke, and Austin Rutt.

The 4x100 relay also took first with a time of 50:11. The team was made up of Jack Erickson, Brant LeMieux, Jordan Meyer, and Janik Wagner.

Coach Craig Nordling said it was a cold night to run, but the athletes handled it. He added the relays are still a work in progress.

“After a year off, the exchanges still need to improve,” he said.

Jordan Meyer took first in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17:30. For the girls in the same event, Charlotte Houn took second with a time of 18:94.
