Trap team takes second at State
The Tri-City United Trap Team finished its season over the weekend by shooting its way to second place in the Minnesota State Clay Target Meet.
The Titans took second place overall with a score of 481. Athletes who represented the team were Kaden Dietz, Jonathan Hurd, Dylan Fox, Jacob Cihak, Carter Pomije, and alternates Tanner Ahlbrecht, and Tegan Determan.
They competed in two sessions where they each shot two rounds of 25 clays for a possible total score of 100. Cihak was the team’s top shooter with a 99. He was followed by Hurd in second with a 98. Dietz shot his way to third place with a 96, followed by Pomije and Fox ending in a tie with 94 each.
Wayzata took first with a score of 489. That team scored three perfect rounds of 100 each, and rounds of 96 and 93.
