Man found dead in Lake Washington water

Le Sueur County Sheriff Brett Mason reports that at approx. 0640 hours on July 1, 2022, deputies responded to a residence located on the southwest shore of Lake Washington, in Washington Township for a Missing Person Report.

At the residence, Deputies spoke with Reporting Party and family members, who advised that Alan Jonathan Noy, age 45, left the residence on the Pontoon Boat, leaving at approx. 6:00pm on the previous evening, going to the Westwood Bar and Grill. This morning, family members were unable to locate Alan at the residence and began looking for him and they observed the Pontoon Boat floating in the weeds, along the shoreline, approx. 30 to 40 feet from the dock. The family members continued to look for Alan and after looking around the area and not finding him, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted.

Responding Deputies arrived at the residence and began searching for Alan in the residence, in the yard area and along the shoreline; other Deputies began searching the water area around the Pontoon Boat and the dock; while searching the area around the dock, Deputies located and recovered Alan’s body, approx. 30 feet from shore in approx. 26 inches of water, where he had apparently drowned.

After Deputies removed Alan’s body from the Lake, he was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner Office for an autopsy. The matter remains under investigation by the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office.
