LS Co. to close majority of government buildings to public

Effective Thursday, March 19, Le Sueur County is closing the majority of its government buildings to the public - the exception being the Sheriff’s Office lobby and the Le Sueur County Court Administration in the Justice Center.

Sheriff Brett Mason said his office will continue to provide residents with the services they expect, but they are taking precautions with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will continue to monitor certain issues and prioritize them in the best way possible,” he stated. “At this time, the Sheriff’s lobby will continue to be open for permit applications and other necessary correspondence. The jail will continue to operate as expected and our Le Sueur County Communications Center will continue to provide 911 response and dispatch services. And our front line staff who are out in the public (deputies) will continue to respond to ALL calls, incidents and emergencies with efficiency and professionalism.”
