Carolyn Mary Musil Rynda, 81

Carolyn Mary Musil Rynda, age 81, of New Prague, died peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center, her home of 4 years after a diagnosis of dementia.  Carolyn was born on January 26, 1939 in New Prague to Joseph and Mary (Janu) Musil.  She graduated from St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and New Prague High School.  At age 17, she went to work in Minneapolis at International Multifoods as the secretary for the Director of Personnel Services, which employed 700 people at that time.  On October 27, 1979, Carolyn married the love of her life, Milo Rynda, at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal, MN.

After marriage, Carolyn joined her husband on the Rynda homestead northwest of Montgomery and though Carolyn grew up a city gal, she adapted to farm life and loved it.  She took pride in her home and the farm.  Rather than play in the game, she was happy to be on the sideline, cheering!  She did much letter writing, crossword puzzles, and taking a daily walk.  Carolyn was always cheerful and happy, even as the ravages of dementia took her memories.

Carolyn is survived by her loving and faithful husband, Milo; many nieces and nephews, including Mary (David) Duwenhoegger and Tom (Angie) Musil; many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold, Leonard, and Gene Musil.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church for immediate family only with Father Eugene Theisen officiating.  Mass will be live-streamed on npcatholic.org.  Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.  bruzekfuneralhome.com
