Helen Lucille Severns, ­­­­­­88, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be Friday, March 29 from 9am to 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am with Father George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held at St. Michael Cemetery in rural Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a Chemical Dependency- Depression/ Suicide program.

Helen was born on December 13, 1930 in Cedar Lake Township to John W. and Mary C. (Kadrlik) Puncochar. Helen was a graduate of New Prague High School. Helen was united in marriage to James M. Severns on February 27, 1960 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Helen worked for 50+ years as a Home Health Care Provider with a LPN Degree through Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. Helen enjoyed baking and sewing- especially custom things for family and others.

Helen is survived by her children, Michael Severns of Montgomery, Donald (Shirley) Severns of Hopkins, Mary (Victor) Braith of New Prague, and Kathleen (Daniel) Scheel of Montgomery; grandchildren, Nicole Scheel, Daniel (Julie) Scheel, John (Amanda) Braith, Kevin (Brianna) Braith, and Katrina (Joe) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Leelynn, Lila, Hayden, Annabelle, Kaleb, Nolan, Tara and Teia; sisters-in-law, Juanita Bruns, and Patricia Dodge.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Thomas L. Severns; parents; siblings, Richard J. Puncochar, Loretta and Peggy Puncochar; God-children, Patrick and Richard Puncochar; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Burns, Rodney Severns, and Marlin Dodge; niece, Marie Dodge.
