Corinne (Connie) Suel Turek, 92

Corinne (Connie) Suel Turek, 92, of Bay Village, Ohio, passed away February 8. Connie was born on October 27, 1930 in New Prague to Leonard and Eleanor (Nurenberg) Suel. She attended St. Wenceslaus Elementary School and New Prague High School.

She is survived by her husband Richard (Dick) Turek, childhood playmate, high school sweetheart and husband of 69 years; six children, sons Paul (Abby) of Waconia, MN, James (Susie)of Westlake, OH and Christopher (Monica) of Naples, FL; daughters Susan Miles (Kevin) of Louisville, KY, Dr. Margaret of Half Moon Bay, CA and Jennifer

(Ed) Miller of Bay Village, OH.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Her parents, brother James (Jay), sisters Kathryn Taylor, Rita Johnson and a grandson (Eddie Miller) preceded her in death.

Connie was active in New Prague High School activities including drama, cheerleading, scouting and glee club. She was a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she was active in the Newman Club and a college homecoming princess. Connie taught in Belle Plaine and St. Louis Park elementary schools before joining Dick who was on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. Connie was a Girl Scout leader and a substitute teacher in her children's Catholic elementary schools.

Connie will be remembered by her family for her patience and pleasant good nature, deep Catholic Faith and her dedication to the organization and planning of more than thirty five annual family reunions and numerous other family events.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Wenceslaus School Scholarship Fund.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Raphael Church, Bay Village, Ohio on February 15.
