DalekoArts’ ‘Ghost Tour’ provides shivers of laughter

DalekoArts, New Prague’s local non-profit professional theater, opened its eighth season on Wednesday, Aug. 28, with “Ghost Tour,” a 70-minute interactive comedy that takes audiences out of the theater and through downtown New Prague. “Ghost Tour” lasts through Saturday, Oct. 12.

The evening programs are on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. The walking tour starts at the Prague Theater, 110 Main St. E, and ends near the theater. The program is weather dependent so audiences should double check the forecast for that evening and dress appropriately.

“Ghost Tour” begins in the lobby of the Prague Theater with guide Tammy Pirkl (who prefers “Raven” while leading the tours), alternately played by Alyson Enderle and Amanda White. Things quickly take a turn to the comedic as Tammy finds out the tour has been cursed. From there her tour encounters Murphy’s Law, as things that can go wrong, do go wrong. Her re-enactors are out with hapless Ethan (Phillip Hoelscher) filling in. Her group keeps bumping into rival tour guide Manny Giesen (Anthony Zadra) also owner of the local....
