Edward Alvin Koktavy, 74

Edward Alvin Koktavy, age 74, of Lonsdale, MN, passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2025. Ed was born on September 8, 1950, in Northfield, MN, to Joseph F. and Agnes (Kotek) Koktavy. He was a 1968 graduate of Northfield High School, a member of the Army National Guard for 7 years, and farmed with his brothers most of his life. He married Arlene Sirek on September 11, 1971, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli.

 Ed is preceded in death by his parents, brother and his wife, Marvin (Peggy) Koktavy. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Arlene; children, Julie Koktavy, Ed Jr. (Shanna) Koktavy, Michelle (Rob) Erickson, and Krystal Koktavy; grandchildren, Christian Smith Jr., Kody (Alisa) and Hazel Koktavy, Ella, Anna, Anders, Ayden and Easton Erickson, and Makayla Koktavy; siblings, Joseph (Rosie) and Milo (Bernita) Koktavy, and Marcy (Richard) Nelson, also by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Annunciation Catholic Church, in Hazelwood, MN, with visitation on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Lonsdale, and one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment, church cemetery.
