Holy Trinity offers ‘Little Free Pantry’

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague offers emergency food assistance with the addition of a “Little Free Pantry.”

This mission/outreach is based on a program at Trinity Lutheran in Owatonna. The idea is based on the concept of the “Little Free Library” boxes that have popped up around communities. Jon Bergquist, Holy Trinity's facility manager, built the pantry with the help of the committee's financial support.

Holy Trinity would like the community to know of this resource. If there is someone in the community who is in need, they are free to stop by and pick up what they need from the pantry. This small, enclosed “box” posted on the south side of the building will be kept stocked with simple, inexpensive, non-perishable goods.

Just like the “Little Free Libraries,” people are also welcome to donate to this “Little Free Food Pantry” as well. If, when you are out grocery shopping, you have something that you’d like to pick up and drop off in the Little Free Pantry, you can do so, any time you’d like.
