James "Jim" F. Miller, 81

James "Jim" F. Miller, 81, of New Prague, went home to Jesus on January 6, 2025. As Jim is welcomed into heaven, his loved ones will be reminded of how sweetly they were welcomed into his home with a giant smile, a warm hug that said I love you and his famous greeting “Welcome to Cedar Lake”.
Jim grew up in the church as his dad, Reverend John Miller, served faithfully around Minnesota. He joined the Air Force and while deployed, he taught English to Thai students. He loved teaching/training whether it was with his employees at Twin City Tire & Tires Express or showing his children and grandchildren how to make memories through hours of lake fun, camping and traveling. Jim’s dream of living on a lake came true. Jim will be remembered for his circle prayers, love of music, gentle nature, kind-hearted spirit and a creative and brilliant mind that never stopped “inventing”.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Julie, and their daughter, Laura (Zac); Dianne, the mother of their children, Julie (Kurt), Jill (Mike), Jason, Jed, and Jennifer (JT); 19 grandchildren and spouses; 18 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; sister, Joanie; brother, Jack (Virginia); nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Stonebridge Church in Burnsville. Visitation will take place at church 1 hour prior to service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will occur at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
