Legion Club and Borak family working on ceremony

New Prague’s American Legion Post 45 commander met with family members of the late Charles Borak the morning of Thursday, May 10, to discuss a proposed rededication ceremony to be held possibly in September or October. Legion Commander Paul Busch met with Dr. Thomas Borak, a relative of Charles Borak, along with John Chromy and Dave Timmons. The local legion is named after Charles Borak, who died near the end of World War I.

Busch said the rededication is in honor of Charles Borak’s sacrifice, the end of World War I in 1918 and the 100th anniversary of the American Legion. He noted he would like members of the Borak family to be part of the ceremony.
