Marla Ann Reichow, 63

Marla Ann Reichow, 63, of rural Garretson passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Private family services will be held.

Marla Ann Reichow was born on April 10, 1955. She grew up on a small farm outside of Watertown, MN along with her parents and 4 siblings (Rita, Janice, Kevin, Gary) She spent her childhood exploring the pastures and playing with her pets. She loved horses and said one of the best days of her life was when her dad brought home her first saddle which was accompanied by her first horse.

She and her husband Rick met in 1978 at her place of employment. They fell in love and moved to the New Prague, MN and bought their farm where they raised their 3 children and built a successful business together. In 2015, they moved to Garretson, SD.

She had an affinity for remodeling old houses and buildings. Most recently she transformed an old hog barn on her property into a guest home. It was her final and most beloved projects who she could not wait to share with everyone that she loved.

Marla was a fierce spirit who never let anything, or anyone stand in the way of her values and beliefs.

Marla had one of the biggest hearts you could find in a human being. Her willingness to help people was remarkable and her generosity and giving nature will never be forgotten.

Her death was preceded by her Father Marvin Danielson, her mother Beatrice Danielson, Brother Kevin Danielson, Brother Gary Danielson.

She is survived by her husband Rick, 3 Children Derick (Eva), Erin (Andy), Pat (Sueann), 4 grandchildren Gabriel, John, Levi, Noah, 2 Sisters, Rita (Bob), Janice, her best friend Nancy and countless of other loving relatives and close friends.
