Music at the Broz offers energetic fun

Energetic was the best way to describe the performance given by the Air Force Starlifter Band on Thursday, July 21, as part of the Music at the Broz in New Prague. The series of summer concerts held on the grassy space west of the Hotel Broz continued its run of having a large crowd and good weather. Crowds have been estimated around 300 people for each concert. Weather for the performances has been warm and sunny.

The Starlifter Band is made up of Active Duty Airmen and featured high energy rock, plus a few ballads and some traditional patriotic musical pieces. In the band were Technical Sergeant Ryan Rager on the keyboard, Staff Sergeant Kathryn Yuill on the drums, Staff Sergeant Bryan Andrews on the bass, Senior Airman Josiah Joyce on the guitar, and Staff Sergeant Melissa Griffith and Airman First Class Jessie Dunnavant both singing. Working at the audio controls for the band were Staff Sergeant Brad Femiak and Airman First Class Mike Peloquin.

Several of the children enjoyed the music, getting up to dance during the performance.

“It was great to see the community come out and support the military,” said Technical Sergeant Ryan Rager of the Starlifter Band.
