Music Fest II returns to benefit Veterans Memorial

Due to the huge success of, and overwhelming community response to last February’s event, the New Prague Veterans Memorial Committee has decided to host another Music Fest fundraiser (NPVM Music Fest II).

This event will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, at the American Legion Park Ballroom in New Prague and will again feature eight different bands playing a variety of music for all ages. Presale discount tickets are available at First Bank and Trust and City Club Bar in New Prague or from committee members. Tickets will also be available at the door. Kids 12 and under are free. The actual times for this event will be similar to last year, with the first band beginning at 1 p.m. and the last band beginning around 9 p.m. Food will be available throughout the day. Additional information will follow in The New Prague Times, on KCHK radio and on the Veterans Memorial website at npveteransmemorial. com. This website can also be visited through Facebook.

The site for the Veterans Memorial has been approved by the City of New Prague and will be located along Main Street, east of the New Prague Library in Memorial Park. This is the perfect site for our New Prague Veterans Memorial.

The following bands have volunteered their time to help make this event a success: The Nite Time Boogie Band, The Revival Band, The Trouba Troubadours. Jumpin At the Woodside (JAWS), New Prague Area Czech Concertina Band, The Charlie Sticha Band, Melinda’s Concertina Band and The Fradenburghs.

Along with the music there will be a silent auction and drawings for door prizes, just like last year. Anyone interested in donating to either the silent auction or a door prize should contact Andrea Means Lehman at 952-994- 9496 or Linda Dvorak at 952-457-2129. Only items that are new or home-crafted are donated will be accepted, no used items.
