Neptune Aquatics, the USA Swimming club based in New Prague, will send five swimmers to the Minnesota Long Course State Meet, Thursday through Sunday, July 25-28, at the Rochester Recreation Center. This year’s state team consists of 9-year-old Kellan Krance, 10-year-olds Alexis Day and Carolyn DeLuca, 12- year-old Jacob Bisek and 16- year-old Katie Pattee.

Swimmers earned their way to the state competition with a state-qualifying time or winning their respective event at the Minnesota Long Course Regional Championships (MRCs), held July 19-21 in Mankato.

"I’m very proud of how our swimmers performed at MRCs," says Chuck Webb, Neptune Aquatics head coach. "In addition to stiff competition, they battled the challenges of excessive heat on Friday, severe weather delays, colder temperatures and swimming late into the night on Saturday, then returning to the pool Sunday morning at 6:45 a.m.

Neptune swimmers will compete in a variety of events. Participating swimmers, along with their prequalified events, are as follows:
