Praha Village holds informational evening
More than 50 people attended an informational meeting about Praha Village, the new four-story, 91-unit senior apartments the evening of Monday, July 30. The meeting also allowed people to meet representatives of The Makado Group, the developer of Praha Village, which is currently going up near the intersection of 10th Avenue SE and First Street SE, and Augustana Care, which will be in charge of the senior care. Representatives of the builders, architect team and designers were also introduced. The evening also had a question and answer session.
Mark Appelbaum of The Makado Group said they worked with people in New Prague to come up with the name Praha Village. "It is a small village unto itself, but it is part of the larger community of New Prague," he said to the crowd.
The audience was informed the project is a week ahead of schedule, they have 60 to 70 workers on site. Completion is scheduled for early 2019 and Praha Village will offer independent and assisted living and memory care. People will be able to.....
