Trojan boys rebound with win over Delano

The New Prague Trojan boys soccer team bounced back from a pair of tough losses last week to defeat Delano 1-0 Monday, Sept. 30, in a Wright County Conference game.

The Trojans lost to Mayer Lutheran 3-0 on Monday, Sept. 23, and to Rockford 3- 1 on Thursday, Sept. 26.

"We lost both games that we should have won in my opinion. That’s all I want to say about those two games," said Coach Gospel Kordah.

"Preparing for Delano was all about understanding our responsibilities in our positions and taking charge over our attitude and effort," he said. "I could tell that we were ready to play the game during warm-ups. My captains (John Wacker, Isaac Hill and Henry Newton) did a great job getting their teammates focused and ready to play."
