Veterans Memorial group gets boost from Haunted House

The New Prague Veterans Memorial received a $7,500 donation from the Support Our Troops Haunted House organization out of Farmington.

This organization started in Farmington with a mission to ensure all Veterans and their families will not be forgotten. Some examples of donations they have made include Treats for Troops, the Lonsdale Veterans Memorial, Farmington Veterans Memorial, as well as donations to active and retired Veterans in need. They have raised their funds through a Haunted House that they host at the Dakota County Fair grounds each year.

The New Prague Veterans Memorial is excited about the growing awareness coming from recent advertising that has been done through the radio, newspaper and word of mouth. This Memorial will be a beautiful historical piece added to New Prague’s Memorial Park and this comes with great financial quests. The goal for construction is to break ground in 2020, and fundraising is well underway. The Memorial Committee is being proactive and working to raise as much of the financial requirements before any construction starts.
