Marvin Bartelt, 75

Marvin Bartelt, age 75 of Waterville died on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Mission Farms Nursing Home in Plymouth.

Born on September 29, 1943 in Waterville, Minnesota, he was the son of Arthur and Mary (Gregor) Bartelt. He attended school in Waterville and then worked a variety of jobs including H&S Logging, Green Giant, Fessel’s and for Grubish’s. He also used his lawn mower for mowing lawns and as his daily transportation. His motto was a ‘thumbs up’ gesture. Marvin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and liked to watch Nascar, The Price is Right, Bonanza, and Gunsmoke.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy (Darin) Grobe of Northfield; two grandchildren, Brittany and Austin; one brother, Gene Bartelt of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Greg Bartelt; and sister-in-law, Nancy Bartelt.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville. Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services of Waterville is handling arrangements.
