Michael A. Schnoor, 62

Michael A. Schnoor, age 62 of Elysian died on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Born on February 4, 1956 in Mankato, Minnesota he was the son of Arvid and Alvera (Kewatt) Schnoor. He attended Waterville High School. Michael worked for area farmers before beginning his career in road construction. He retired after 25 years from Hoffman Concrete in Mankato. Michael married Faye Bremer on May 17, 1991. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian and served as president of the Silver Lake Sportsman’s Club for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Faye of Elysian; two grandsons, Derek (Tameara) Stangler and London Stangler all of Owatonna; and two great grandchildren, Khloee and Kingslee. He is also survived by brothers, Steven (Marni) Schnoor and Dennis (Colleen) Schnoor all of Elysian; sisters, Sueann (Clifford) Hrdlicka of Le Center, Pam (Daryl) Meyer and Jolene Lueck of Elysian; sisters-in-law, Laurel (Richard) Rupe of Randolph, Adele (Earl) Beals of Owatonna, and Ellen Bremer of Tombstone, AZ; brothers-in-law, Michael (Denese) Bremer of Faribault and Donald Peterson of Kenyon; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other extended relation. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Shannon and Shyla; his parents; two brothers, Jeremy and Daniel; one sister, Brenda; brothers-in-law, Brian Lueck and Gary Bremer; and father and mother-in-law, Warren and Margaret Bremer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian. Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour before services at the church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian. Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services of Waterville is handling arrangements.
