Waterville man found dead

Noah Goodwin, 22, was found deceased at his Waterville residence on June 7.

A 22-year-old Waterville man was found dead in his residence on Sunday, June 7.
The Waterville Police Department responded to a call of an unresponsive male at a residence in the 100 block of West Main Street, Waterville, at approximately 6:14 p.m. on Sunday, June 7.
According to a press release issued by the police department, the responding officer arrived at the residence and found the male party deceased in his bedroom. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Noah Goodwin of Waterville.
The officer requested the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office deputies to respond to the location to perform a deputy coroner death scene investigation.
The officer and the deputies processed the scene and found no signs of forced entry or obvious trauma.
The deceased was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and is currently under investigation.
Goodwin’s father, Paul Purfeerst of Waseca, shared these words about his son: “He had a heart of gold… Family was so important to him. He loved his family. He has seven siblings on my side… He loved his dog and bowling. He was on Faribault High School’s bowling team and went to state tournaments… This is hard… He's going to be missed.”
