Elysian Area Foundation is in its 16th year

For way more than a decade, the Elysian Area Community Foundation (EACF) has been working to provide grants to support programs and projects that improve the quality of life and build stronger communities in the greater Elysian area.

EACF is dedicated to serving the Elysian area by providing opportunities, addressing community needs, and working toward a progressive future.

The Foundation was established in 2009 under the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF), a registered 501(c)3 organization. The Foundation was recently revived and the Board expanded. New initiatives are underway and they continue to collect donations and distribute those dollars to the community.

During the 2024 calendar year they presented the Elysian Area Library and Heritage Center with a donation in July. They also donated money to the Elysian Little League helping them with the ongoing improvements to the ELysian Baseball Fields.
