Indians handed first loss

After eight straight wins, the Waterville Indians amateur baseball team finally were handed a loss.
North Mankato defeated the Indians, 5-1, Wednesday, June 11 in Waterville.
The Gators limited the Indians to only three hits. Jack Mellstrom knocked in the only Waterville run with a sacrifice in the second inning, scoring Ben Boran.
