Indians remain rated after splitting two games

The Waterville Indians amateur baseball team remains in the top five of the Class C baseball rankings after splitting two games last week.

The Indians improved to 11-4-1 after losing 4-3 to Montgomery Friday, June 27 and winning, 4-2, over Cleveland Sunday, June 29.

Waterville remains unbeaten in the 13-60 League with a 9-0 record. They dropped to fourth in Class C behind Courtland, Glencoe, and Le Sueur. Pierz, a team which edged the Indians last week in Elrosa, moved up to 9th. Also receiving votes were Blue Earth, Cannon Falls, Veseli, and Waseca.

In the win over Cleveland, Dalton Grose pitched a complete game. He struck out five, walked three, and allowed only three hits.
