Indians roll to 13th straight win

A pair of big wins last week pushed the Waterville Indians amateur baseball team’s winning streak to 13 straight.

The Indians defeated Janesville (9-2) Wednesday, June 23 and Waseca (11-2) Sunday, June 27 to improve to 14-2 overall. They have only one loss in the 13-60 League.

In the win over the Jays, Waterville finished with 15 hits, half of which were for extra bases. Nolan Grose and Luke Sellner each hit home runs. Danny Kneeland, Ben Boran, Shane Sellner, Dalton Grose, and Nolan Grose each added doubles. The Grose brothers and L. Sellner each knocked in a pair of runs. D. Grose started and pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on seven hits. He struck out seven and walked three in earning the win.
