Lady Bucs tied for first in flag football league

A beautiful late Sunday afternoon gave the WEM girls flag football team a chance to showcase their talents in front of a large crowd of spectators in Waterville.
The Buccaneers held on to their place on top of the Sub-District Standings with a split of two games.
WEM dropped a 40-14 contest to Lakeville South and defeated Lakeville North for the second time this season, 21-6.
The Bucs are tied with Lakeville South with a 3-1 record. Fairmont is 2-2 overall and Lakeville North in 0-4 overall.
In the loss to South, Alenka Jans completed 20-of-41 passes for 220 yards, three interceptions, and two touchdowns.
Robynn Schwichtenberg caught 11 passes for 110 yards and scored both of the WEM touchdowns.
Brooklyn Novak caught five passes for 68 yards, Enja Francois Saint Cyr caught three passes for 30 yards, and Loryn Caldwell caught one pass for 12 yards.
In the win over North, the Bucs decided to run the ball more than they have all season.
