Jaden Lang of Morristown has been dancing as long as she can remember…16 years to be exact.

Now she has become a National Champion after competing last month with the Championship Minnesota State University, Mankato Pom Team in Florida.

The Nationals were held January 17 through 19 in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The Mavericks were among more than 20 teams competing in the Open Division of the Division 2 and Division 3 schools.

While attending high school at Faribault BA she was a member of the Faribault High School Emeralds High Kick and Jazz Dance Teams. Those teams were very successful, bringing home 3rd place honors three times.

Once her high school days were almost completed, Lang decided she wanted to continue dancing in college.

“High school dance made me realize I wanted to go further,” Lang said. “I knew the Mavericks (MSU-Mankato) always had a good program.”
