WEM Homecoming full of Friday events

WEM Homecoming Coronation 2024 will be held Friday, October 4 at the high school gymnasium in Waterville.
This year the majority of the Homecoming activities will be held on Friday. The coronation is scheduled for 9 a.m. with a parade through the downtown streets set for 10 a.m.
Juniors and seniors will battle at 11 a.m. in volleyball and kickball events. Lunch will be held at 12:05 p.m. and a pepfest will follow at 12:35 p.m.
New this year is the addition of a WEM varsity volleyball game against Maple River at 1:45 p.m. The Buccaneer football team will host NRHEG at 7 p.m.
From 3 to 7 p.m. Friday the WEM Fine Arts Booster Club will be sponsoring the annual pre-game meal on the south side of the high school. This tailgate event will feature Brat Dogs, Twisted Chicken, Kelm’s BBQ, Cool Wave, and Unbakeables. Proceeds from the sales will support fine arts programs throughout the WEM School District.
The royalty will be crowned after votes of the student body are calculated Thursday, Oct. 3 and they will reign over the weekend’s activities.
