County board receives MnDOT 10-year plan
The Le Sueur County Board received a report from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) June 15 explaining the 10- year district work plan.
There are many road projects scheduled in the next 10 years which will affect residents in most of the communities within the county.
One of the areas in the report was the road quality index based on the 2020 pavement conditions. Approximately half of the roads in Le Sueur County are in fair condition and the other half in good condition. There were only two very small portions of road in New Prague and Le Center that were deemed in poor condition.
Projects currently in the works within the county include a reconstruct and construction roundabouts on Highway 19 in New Prague, from 5th Ave. NW to 7th Ave SE and the Highway 60 reconstruct and resurface from Highway 14 southwest of Madison Lake to Highway 13 in Waterville.
