Back to normal? It seems so

The last couple of months have been like a breath of fresh air.

Life after the pandemic seems like it’s getting back to normal. We have had some events with face-maskless (is that a word?) people and more are coming up!

Music was filling Memorial Park the end of June. That music returns Thursday, July 8 when Little Chicago takes the stage. Little Chicago is a cover band for hits of the 1960s and 1970s. They play fantastic music! The horn band plays pop/rock music, with a smattering of country. It features hits by such famous groups as Chicago, Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Grass Roots, the Union Gap, Dusty Springfield, and more.

On Saturday, July 10, the “Triad of Czech Boys Concertina Music” (Colton Tupy, Gary Pikal and Mike Budin on bass horn) will play at the Arts & Heritage Club from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Their appearance is part of the two-month long exhibit: A Kaleidoscope of Czech Heritage.” Watch the Messenger for more events related to this super interesting exhibit!

On Tuesday, July 13, at 7 p.m., the Czech Heritage Club will hold its monthly program at the Arts & Heritage Center. The Center and Club meeting are free and open to the public.

Free is nice! Check it out!

The Montgomery Mallards and Lonsdale Aces continue to play ball. The Mallards will host Shakopee in Montgomery on Friday, July 9, and New Prague on Monday, July 12.

We can’t forget further in the month are the Chamber’s Car Roll-in on Tuesday, July 20 and Kolacky Days - (Yes! It is back as normal with all the great events!) July 22 to 25.
