Bluejays stop Titan playoff run

The TCU Titans ended their run in the quarterfinals of the Section 3AAA playoffs after a 51-8 loss to Waseca. The end of their season came on the heels of a 28-14 win over New Ulm on Tuesday, Oct. 26 in Montgomery.

TCU jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter of their home game when Adam Henze had a 38-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Luke Holicky to open the scoring for the Titans. Cole Franek added a 3-yard touchdown run and 2-pt conversion to make the lead 14-0.

The Titans had to battle some adversity in the second quarter as they allowed New Ulm to come back and tie the game at 14-14 just before halftime. The Eagles’ points came on a 47- yard gain, and a 36-yard gain by Dylen Carreon, and a twopoint conversion pass by Ayden Jensen.
