Knowledge Bowl team misses regionals by one point

They were so close.

Tri-City United High School’s Knowledge Bowl team came up just one point shy of moving on to the Regional Tournament last week when the Titans competed at the Sub-Regional event on March 10 at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The event ended the team’s season.

“We’ve had a pretty good season,” stated TCU Knowledge Bowl Advisor Peter Kuriger.

Sixteen Titans have taken part in Knowledge Bowl this year. They include: Devin Filter, Alex Matchinski, Patrick Fossum, Olivia Skluzacek, Haley Wasiloski, Carter Sladek, John Titus, Lucas Budin, Caleb Holicky, Aidan Miland, Sydney Whiteis, Arthur Devine, Aven Prigge, Jayson Macho, Claire Kubes, and Emma Mills.

TCU ran three, five-person teams throughout the season. Practice sessions were held twice a week—one before school on Tuesdays and one after school on Thursdays.
