Lopez, Mach named Titan Girls Soccer MVPs
Junior Lupita Lopez and sophomore Kinsley Mach were named the Most Valuable Players on the Tri-City United (TCU) girls soccer team this fall.
Lopez was named the Titan Defensive MVP and Mach was named the Titan Offensive MVP.
Lopez finished the 2024 season with seven goals and six assists. She was also recognized as a Big South All-Conference Honorable Mention selection.
Mach led the team with 10 goals and added two assists. Her efforts also saw her receive the Titan Golden Boot Award which is given to the team’s top scorer.
The Titan Award, which is presented to the person who puts the team before themselves, always works hard, is accountable, and shows respect to everyone, was awarded to Lupita Lopez.
The Team Mom(s) Award, which is presented by the coaching staff, is awarded to the person who is always looking out for the team, always has things for their teammates, and is always helping keep the benches clean. Recipients of this award are freshmen Aubrey Heller and Abigail Schmitz.
Other point scorers for the Titans were sophomore Kirra Flicek, who finished with three goals and freshman Camila Perez, who scored two goals and assisted on two other goals.
The Titans finished the season with a 2-13-1 record. They did not have a senior on their varsity line-up and will return all players next season.
