Mallards Outfielder Tom Flicek takes wild pitch to the ankle in the 8th inning to walk on base at the June 2 evening home game against the Mudcats. This was no help to the Mallards, scoring no runs in the 8th inning and giving up one run instead during the inning and seven more in the ninth inning. From there, Ben Anderson, making his Mallard debut, shut down the Veseli bats, pitching four two-thirds innings of hitless relief and earning his first DRS win. Derek Christenson finished the last two innings on the mound, picking up the save.

The Mallard bats and legs put continuous pressure on the Warriors with 13 hits and six stolen bases on the day. Ryan Iverson and Jack Barnett lead the Mallards at the plate with three hits each and Iverson tallying three runs batted in.

Friday, June 2 Montgomery Mallards 2, Prior Lake Mudcats 10 The Prior Lake Mudcats traveled to Montgomery Friday, June 2 and completely shut down the Mallard bats on the night, eventually breaking the game wide open with seven runs in the ninth inning, capping a 10-2 victory.
