Titans end season at playoffs

The Tri-City United Baseball Team’s season came to an end in the Section Playoffs to Sibley East on Saturday, May 29 by a score of 9-0.

The loss put the team’s season at 2-14.

TCU had only one hit by Collin Barnett, who also pitched the first 3.2 innings giving up all nine runs to SE. Only three of the runs were earned.

Max Krautkremer pitched very well in relief, pitching 2.1 innings while striking out three.

Five TCU errors helped SE pick up nine runs in the game.

SE scored three quick runs in the first inning, one run in the second and three more in the third inning. Their final two runs came in the fourth inning.

The last regular-season game for the TCU Baseball Team went into an extra inning on Wednesday, May 26 at Memorial Park in Montgomery.

TCU picked up three runs in the first inning on three walks and two hits. Brody Rud, Barnett, and Kayden Factor all scored runs while Dom Miland and Reece Weydert each singled.

The Giants took a 6-3 lead at the top of the third inning only to see TCU get the lead right back with four runs in the third inning on three Giant errors, two walks and one TCU hit.

Caden O’Malley had the only hit of the inning for the Titans.

The Giants took the lead back in the fifth with two runs only to see TCU tie it up again in the bottom of the fifth with one run.

Jayson Macho walked and came around to score for TCU.
