Trojans 13, Minneapolis 5 It was a very slow start for New Prague. Overall, the first three innings were rough and the team struggled. The team began to feel some energy in the fourth.

Trailing 4-3, New Prague started to make plays defensively, and then had a two-out rally in the fourth.

Aaron Adamson got on base with a hard hit up the center field line. Zach Crawford also had a hit. With two outs and runners on first and second, the Trojans had consecutive hits from Garrett Gagner, Evan Minar, Seth Dorner and Breanna Starks to plate five runs.

The top of the fifth, Minneapolis had two runners on base but the Trojans had an outstanding play by Blake Perry in center field. He threw the ball to Dorner to get the runner out at home.New Prague added two runs in the fifth on a hit by Dylan Edberg and a home run by Chase Smith.

New Prague added three runs in the sixth to make the score 13-5.

The Trojans are still playing without shortstop and leader Jake Schurman, out due to illness. However, the team has seen some great leadership by Gagner playing short while Schurman has been out. Smith has also been doing a great job at the plate, hitting the ball very hard and Dorner continues to be a huge asset at pitcher. He struck out five batters.

Offensively, Evan Minar and Dylan Perry were both 3- for-4 and Dorner was 3-for- 3. Defensively the team had just four errors.

"That will be the key to our success this year as we continue," Coach Shellie Kriha said. "If we can keep the error count down, we should be able to compete with most teams."

Thunderbolts 15, Trojans 0 New Prague had just five hits, one each by Gagner, Smith, Starks, Edberg and Parks, and struggle don defense as South Washington County claimed a 15-0 win Monday.
