Lippert wins 20B House race
Todd Lippert (DFL-Northfield) had a strong showing in his hometown as he won election to the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 20B Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Lippert received 10,932 votes, or 55.3 percent, to defeat Josh Gare (R-Montgomery). Gare had 8,832 votes, or 44.68 percent.
Gare won all seven precincts in Le Sueur County and nine of 18 in Rice County, but Lippert swept all seven precincts in Northfield as well as the City of Dundas and Bridgewater Township to keep the district in DFL hands. He succeeds Rep. David Bly (DFL-Northfield), who did not run for reelection.
