Rita Marie Sticha, 82

Rita Marie Sticha, 82, of Faribault, formerly of Montgomery passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault. Visitation will be Wednesday, January, 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with funeral service following at 11 also at the funeral home with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Rita was born on November 18, 1936 in Montgomery to Joseph and Julia (Pesta) Rosival. Rita was united in marriage to Elmer William Sticha on June 14, 1955 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Rita had worked at Rite way in Northfield and Valley Pool in Shakopee and drove School mini bus. She enjoyed being a member of the Czech Singers. Rita farmed side by side with her husband and enjoyed time with her grandchildren, card playing, gardening, baking, reading, bird watching and watching the Twins and “Survivor” on TV.

Rita is survived by her children, Renee Henson of Faribault and Mary (Scott) Ahrens of New Richmond, WI, and; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Anna) Rosival of Lonsdale; brother-in-law, Marvin Malecha of Northfield.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer on November 5, 2018; sons, Randy Sticha, Gregory and David both in infancy; son-in-law, Jim Hanson; sister, Linda Malecha; and her parents.
