Robert “Bob” Ernest Sapp
Robert “Bob” Ernest Sapp, of Le Center, passed away March 12, 2025, at St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.
Bob was born in St. Peter, Minnesota on July 14, 1951, to Dale and Betty (Wohlers) Sapp, the eldest of four children. He attended McKinley High School and graduated from Mankato Area Vocation-Technical Institute with a BA in Agri Business Sales & Management. Bob and his father worked the Sapp Family Farm many years raising sheep, breeding stock pigs and dairy cattle under the Robda Holsteins register. In 2004, they were awarded Century Farm nomination at the Le Sueur County Fair. He was a member of the Le Sueur County Pork Producers, MN Holstein Association, lifetime member of the Le Sueur County Fair Board Association, Le Center Sportsman Club & Pioneer Power Organization. Bob volunteered for St. Paul Lutheran church council and the community. He was well known within the community, especially for his famous grilled pork burgers every summer at the county fair. He enjoyed square dancing & did square dance calling. In 2009 he started New Choice Insurance Service with his daughter Tammy. He enjoyed educating people about insurance. He was a proud dad and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His stories and words of wisdom will be missed by many.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jane Sapp, six daughters; Tamara (Paul) Kajer of New Prague, Wendy (Tim) Berklich of Elk River, Debra (Bill) Weber of St. Peter, Barbara (Jamie) Bernard of Chatfield, Lynne Williams of Duluth, and Kim (Danny) Sapp-Klotz of St. Paul; four step-children, Tina (Paul) Licari, Lindsey (Ryan) Swing, Jeff (Breanna) Lloyd, & Dan (Cylie) Lloyd; twenty grandchildren, Kendra, Mitchel & Marcus Kajer, Tyler & Cody Berklich, Heidi, Julie, Molli, & William Weber, Michael & Josh Hrstka, Roland Williams, Owen, Ethan & Alissa Lloyd, Zoey, Lilly & Blake Swing, and Caydance & Shayla Lloyd and two sisters, Rita Sapp, New Prague & Robyn (Carl) Menk, Le Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Dale and Betty (Wohlers) Sapp, and sister, Ruth (Sapp) Koskovich.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Le Center. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center with Pastor Heath Queen officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Union Cemetery in rural Le Center.
