Bartel - Lehne

The wedding of Karynn Lehne and Andrew Bartel, both of Milwaukee, WI, took place at Grand Fiesta Americana in Los Cabos, Mexico the evening of October 25, 2019.

Karynn is the daughter of Jerry and Lisa Lehne of New Prague, MN, and Andrew is the son of Micheal and Valerie Bartel of Chicago, IL.

There were 36 guests who joined the couple as they said their vows on the beach in Mexico. Guests included all of their immediate family members, relatives and friends including Karynn's Grandmother, Eleanor Fabel of Belle Plaine, MN, Great Aunt Helen (Kerkow) Stern of San Diego, CA, and cousin/ Bridesmaid April Bajwa from Brisbane, Australia. Ona Jorgenson of New Prague was a Jr. Bride’s Maid. Most guests flew into Cabo San Lucas International Airport and spent a relaxing week at the Grand Fiesta Resort in Los Cabos. They enjoyed touring local attractions such as the Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

The Ceremony was held on the beach at the resort and vows were spoken while the sun began to set. Unity Sand consisted of sand from the beach at Los Cabos where Andy originally proposed to Karynn in August of 2017 and from the beach of Lake Michigan at Carthage College where the couple first met in 2011. The Bride wore an off-white full length ballgown and the Groom wore a white shirt, tan linen vest and slacks. Shoes were optional. The reception was held immediately following the ceremony on a beach side patio of the resort. The couple plan to remain in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and return to the Grand Fiesta for their one year anniversary.

Karynn graduated from New Prague High School in 2010. She attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and received a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience and Psychology. She is currently attending the University of Wisconsin to receive a Master's Degree in Healthcare and works at Roger's Mental Healthcare in Milwaukee. Andy graduated from Downers Grove High School in 2007. He attended Carthage College and received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Physical Education. He currently works for Racine United School District in Racine, Wisconsin.
