Casey John Trimpey, 57
Casey John Trimpey, age 57, of New Prague, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023. Casey was born in Sarasota, Fla. on Sept. 15, 1965, to Robert and Joann (Colvin) Trimpey. The family moved to Minnesota when Casey was five and he attended Chanhassen Public Schools. He met the woman who would light up his life, Marietta “Mari” Stone, and the two were married Sept. 29, 1990, in Shakopee. He died just shy of his birthday and the celebration of 33 years of marriage. Casey was a beloved and valued low-voltage landscaper for Accentual Lighting in Jordan for over 20 years. A quiet, somewhat solitary man, Casey had a cute, engaging giggle and loved the time he had with his grandchildren, who knew him as Papa, rough-housing with the family dog, Roxy, and hanging with his best friend, Russ. He could fix anything that needed it.
Casey was an avid fisherman, playing with his lures and rods in his free time and enjoying long drives searching out fishing holes for the elusive bass and walleye that were his favorite catches. Even when not fishing, he enjoyed outdoor shows on TV, particularly Wicked Tuna. His quiet presence with an elusive grin on his face will be sorely missed by his family, co-workers, and those lucky enough to call him friend.
Casey is survived by his wife, Mari, of New Prague; children, Justin Trimpey (Celeste Doehlert) of Shakopee, Brianna (Evan) Griep of Montgomery, Candice Trimpey (Anthony Hootman) of New Prague; grandchildren, Skye Hanneman, Emma Cobb, & Dakota Griep; mother, Joann Trimpey; sisters, Sue Peterson, Laurie (Dave) Nelson, Melissa Prashad; mother-in-law, Donna Stone of Shakopee; brother-in-law, Jim (Kim) Stone of Shakopee; best friend, Russ (Lisa) Kraft of Montgomery. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Trimpey; sister, Jodie Trimpey; father-in-law, Ralph Stone.
Private family services will be held.
