Dvorak named to High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame

On Saturday, Nov. 13, Don Dvorak, age 74, of New Prague was named to the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held during a banquet at at the Omni Hotel in Eagan.

“I’m humbled by the reward,” said Dvorak of the honor. Dvorak was a baseball coach for a total of 33 years in New Prague and other school districts. He spent 16 years as the head coach of the Trojans baseball team. Besides coaching, Dvorak also taught math and algebra and was an assistant football coach for the eighth grade football team. Under his coaching they won the Missota Conference in 1988 and 1989 and finished second and third numerous times.
